Are fellowships teaching qualifications?

One common question that the ANTF community responds to is whether fellowships are teaching qualifications? This often comes up when job opportunities and promotions are contended, with mixed approaches in universities still regarding how to view these qualifications. The answer is simple. As defined by HEFCE and used in the HESA datasets, fellowships ARE ‘academic teaching qualifications’.
