A profile of ANTF Committee Member, Caroline Coles

Job Title: Deputy Head of Law School (interim) and Senior Teaching Fellow

Year of NTF: Award 2017. Project: Building the International Experience for our Students

 

I am the International Officer for the Committee of the UK National Teacher Fellows. In this role, I work to build links with NTFs around the world and to develop awareness of global issues, both academic and cultural, amongst our students and academic teams in the UK.

I am delighted to share my experience of leading students over several short international placements to Europe and the USA, creating international collaborative academic partnerships and participating in global projects such as UNTogether and GREAT.

In addition I act as a mentor and run roadshows around the UK for applicant NTFs . I am helped in this by previous jobs as an international product manager for Boots for 10 years and as a Solicitor in Intellectual Property Law.

My hobbies include the development of digital culture, and hill walking. My research interests are intellectual property and the preservation of cultural heritage and the role of the international experience in UK HE.
