Details of the forthcoming ANTF symposium have just been released and you can register via this blog. The symposium has several invited speakers around the themes of collaboration and partnership. I’ve not attended one of these before, but it seems like a good opportunity to network and share ideas. Attendees can participate in the event by bringing posters and being involved in Pecha Kucha which Wikipedia informs me is a rapid fire presentation of ideas and information.
I guess I might have seen something like this before at OpenEd 13 in Utah last year. A number of rapid-fire presentations was used to tally up the savings potentially being made by students attending US universities that have embraced open education ideas, in the form of courses and textbooks. The numbers tallied up rather amazingly, in what were probably conservative estimates.
