On behalf of the Committee of the Association of National Teaching Fellows we are very happy to invite you all to the ‘ANTF Annual Symposium 2020 – A decade of change?’ which will be held at Aston University, Birmingham on 5 and 6 March 2020 and is now open for booking on the Advance HE website.

The symposium welcomes NTFs and aspiring NTFs, CATE award holders, national leaders and all those passionate about teaching and learning in Higher Education. This is a great opportunity to be involved in our Teaching Excellence community of learning, led by the Association of National Teaching Fellows and encompassing CATE and GTEA winners within this showcase event.

The 2020 Symposium themes are:

  • Supporting Equality and Diversity
  • Promoting Well-being and resilience
  • Building your impact
  • Wildcard innovative ideas

Day 1 – Thursday 5 March (session 14:30-17:30 plus Gala Dinner 18:30 onwards)

Keynote: David Kernohan, WonkHE

Sessions focussed on our own personal professional development with confirmed sessions from:

  • The Professor in Preparation group, including Prof Sally Everett, Vice Dean (Education) KCL
  • The Institutional Contacts for Teaching Awards Group
  • Advance HE Representatives

The half day will close with the Annual Gala Dinner at the celebrated Aston Conference Centre beginning at 18:30.

Day 2 – Friday 6 March (09:00- 17:00)

Keynote: Dr Theo Gilbert, University of Hertfordshire

A full day programme including small group sessions, panel discussions and networking sessions including examples of excellence in teaching practice across the NTF and CATE sector, building resilience in students and staff.

1 day conference attendance £130.00 (5 March afternoon event plus Gala Dinner or 6 March full day event)
2 day conference attendance including Gala Dinner £180.00
