Dr. Mohamed Saeudy, University of Bedfordshire
I’m absolutely thrilled and energized, reflecting on the successful delivery of my Sustainability Excellence Training (SET) with AI at the Association of National Teaching Fellows (ANTF) Symposium 2025 in Hereford! It was a genuine honor to share my work with such an inspiring community of premium educators and higher education (HE) change makers.
The atmosphere at the symposium was truly inspiring, a testament to the collaborative spirit fostered by the ANTF organizers. My heartfelt thanks go out to the organizing committee for creating such a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment. Their dedication to empowering educators truly shone through.
My National Teaching Fellow (NTF) project (SET with AI) is far more than just a training program; it’s a dynamic platform meticulously designed to empower universities to embed sustainability, digital innovation, and crucial climate action directly into their core teaching and learning strategies. In an era where environmental consciousness and technological prowess are paramount, equipping the next generation with these essential skills isn’t just beneficial it’s imperative. SET provides academics and students with the practical tools and strategic framework to achieve this transformation.
The engaging conversations and invaluable feedback I received throughout the symposium were incredibly enriching. These interactions continue to strengthen the core purpose behind SET to make sustainability education with AI more practical, inclusive, and fundamentally future-focused. Hearing diverse perspectives and experiencing the genuine enthusiasm from colleagues reaffirmed my belief that by working together, we can truly cultivate a new generation of sustainability leaders.
The ANTF Symposium was a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can have when we share knowledge, collaborate on innovative solutions, and champion the causes that matter most. I left Hereford feeling incredibly optimistic about the future of my NTF project and the role that AI-powered sustainability initiatives will play in shaping it.
I’m eager to continue these vital conversations and explore how SET with AI can further empower HE institutions to embrace a sustainable and digitally-driven future. As we move forward, I am more committed than ever to expanding SET’s reach across institutions collaborating with colleagues to co-create a future where sustainability education is not a peripheral topic, but a core institutional priority.
If you’re interested in bringing SET with AI to your institution or collaborating on sustainability and AI innovation in education, I’d be delighted to connect.
